Three of us had the fish and chips one evening and I can honestly say it was the best fish and chips I've ever had . The quality of the fish was first class and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

Every table we sat at was dirty, and sticky, they had cold air coming out of the overhead aircon, wouldn't off minded but this was in October ,told the lady who took our order if she could get someone to clean our table, our food arrived and was still waiting for someone to clean our table still no sign tried to clean it myself but the tissues were sticking to the table, the sauce on my food had split and tasted vary bitter on that note, told the lady behind the bar that I wanted a full refund, she said that someone was coming to clean our table I said don't bother I want my money back so got it all back and went somewhere else, will not be going there again if we go back to torquay

Had the mixed grill which wasnt the greatest been in Torquay a few days and had a few diffrent mixed grills and a weatherspoons one was better lets start with the diarylea triangle suzed steak i had apparently it was medium cooked. It dripped of blood and was mainly gristle and fat. The sausages where just a few cm bigger than a party sausage however the gammon was ok and a decent size. The rest of the plate was mainly peas and a bit of rocket salad. My wife had the crispy chicken burger which however seemed ok. My main gripe is the under staffing 2 people to run a busy restaurant on a friday...no wonder the waitress seemed quite rushed and snappy with the customers. Needless to say i wouldnt return this is an open and honest review its just not for us

Nice food, Gemma was our host on the 30th of December and I would give her 10 out of 10. Everyone who was coming in was all placed all around where Gemma was working and there was plenty of room elsewhere for them to be seated, but Well Done Gemma as she was running around everyone making sure everyone had what they wanted ???.Well done Gemma keep up the good work and your smile. Maybe next time the manager could even the customers out so that Someone like Gemma doesn't take on as much as she did and give a bit more work for the other staff who wasn't doing as much .

We like staying at this Premier inn because of the convenience of having the Beefeater right next door. We take advantage of the Meal Deals. We have stayed here 4 times now. However, on this occasion we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. We lad to send every meal back. We had Roast chicken and. Chips the first night but we had to send it back as it was not cooked through properly. We noticed another couple sending their meals back and they didn’t stay for their meals to be recooked. Last night we had gammon and it was undercooked and far too salty to eat. Today. We had a curry which we had to send back again not hot enough! Also the buffet cooked breakfast is never hot enough. We always have to ask for it to be reheated. The bacon was completely cold when I tried it! However the staff were always helpful in getting things put right. Louise was particularly helpful. Just disappointing that it doesn’t seem to be perfect to start with. I suggest retraining of the chefs! However the premier inn accommodation was excellent as usual and this is really one our favourite premier inns.

Evening dinner was prepared and served very well. Anna and Louise looked after us and everything was well presented. Excellent service from Louise.

Road from Midlands to Torquay took faster than to waiting time in this place. I would understand if it would be busy . But restaurant was half empty . Food cold , waiting time 2 hours, ice cream 30 min to wait . Atmosphere strange , no music , no festive atmosphere. No fonder why vouchers get send frequently to at least get some people in .

12.30pm booking for Christmas Day lunch 2023. Delicious food, filet steak and turkey cooked to perfection, friendly atmosphere and staff, especially our super efficient 'Elf' Rebacca, polite and curious under pressure. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We'd like to thank all the staff who worked on Christmas day to make it so special for us, from front of house and everyone working in the kitchen and in the background.

Embarrassing and distressing time on Christmas Eve. For about 20 years we've been going to the panto in Torquay, staying at the Premier Inn then breakfasting at the Beefeater attached. Usually it's a good, reasonably priced event but this year they shunted 5 of us into a booth which makes trips backwards and forwards to the food difficult but.. I am disabled and due to wounds received I have many health issues and was unable to get into the tiny gap between the sticky table and immovable bench. This was pointed out to the person who appeared to be in charge who simply stated there weren't any normal tables free (there were). As such I couldn't sit at the table and was unable to breakfast with my family. And incredibly I was refused the £9.99 refund. Essentially for being disabled. I will be taking legal advice to see how this contravenes The Equality Act 2010. It's not the money it's the principle and I will take this as far as necessary. My family were upset of course so the whole thing was most unwanted and unnecessary

Met up with family for pre Christmas drinks and meal. We mostly ate from the festive menu and kids menus which were both good value. Great cocktails too! Although it was a busy Saturday night, the restaurant was understaffed so the food was slow to come from the kitchens, not too much of a hassle as we were catching up. Also the bill didn’t seem to tally as not sure the festive deals came up but this was quickly sorted. Big shout out to our waitress Louise who was completely run off her feet but was lovely, friendly and helpful. Clearly trying her best but perhaps abit let down by the kitchen and payment systems.

Food, service & attention to customers not a good experience. Would not recommend. After serving us a diabolical meal our dessert order didn't materialise! Absolutely shocking service.

Dined here many times although overpriced the food is generally good, but on a recent visit the food was underpar! It was just warm which was a shame. The staff are faultless as usual.
