We had a lovely meal here when visiting Mortehoe last week. A lovely atmosphere.Great service and the food was amazing - the best food we had all week in Woolacombe/Mortehoe.We will definitely be back if we are in the area again.
If I could have given this restaurant 3 1/2 stars, I would. However I have generously marked up. My husband and my son really enjoyed their food, however I was disappointed. My starter of gravadlax was lovely and fresh and I really enjoyed it. However my main, sea bass, (although in a beautiful sauce with lovely samphire,) was pinky brown and tough. Really tasty seasonal menu with plenty of choice! Our party tried the fillet steak, the sea bass and the pork belly. All delicious. Good and varied children's menu as well - all fresh and homemade!The puddings were excellent and unique. The Baileys burnt basque cheesecake was a winner all round! All dishes beautifully presented and the atmosphere was cosy and quaint.
