I never write reviews as I'm too lazy- this might even be my first but I feel compelled to write one for this place- Fantastic little b and b- turned up tired, muddy, and confused from my hike and they were super welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed to make me comfortable (best nights sleep ever- the bed was so soft!, and the bath was exactly what i needed!) had a wonderful dinner, and an amazing breakfast - they easily accomidated me to make the food vegan (and it wasn't lacking at all!), were kind, chatty, and cared about my every need- can't reccomend this place enough!Vegetarian options: good vegan optionsDietary restrictions: Vegan options

The room was a bit dated, little things like curtains not closing, shower temperamental kettle was faulty. But nice area and quiet.

I hope our experience was isolated, cold pub, poor food with expensive price tag and no atmosphere ? Used to be so lovely..hopefully a blip ??

Just come back from a long weekend, staff are brilliant, nice and cosy the place is mainly used by ramblers. PS don't come if you are a snob. Bring some coat hangers. And they are dog friendly.Parking: At least 20 parking spaces.

After a few hours on dartmoor we called in to the forest inn, it was lovely and welcoming.. christmassy with a fab fire keeping us warm. The food was the best we've had in a long time. Overall a lovely experience will return 10/10. Staff were friendly and welcoming ??

The couple who work there are some of the friendliest people in the world. We went last summer but I completely forgot to leave a review. After a lovely walk, we came in and instantly welcomed by the owners. They did not care about the muddy dog. The owner was very interested and chatted to us about chess etc. Very lovely pub. Thanks

A very welcoming Pub was able to serve my Friend and I with a delicious Bacon and Brie Baguette even though they had a group of 30 booked in to arrive within minutes. Good selection of Ales and Larger too.

Very reasonably priced Inn and b&b in very central dartmoor. Very quiet at night with very dark skies. Just up from the picturesque river dart and easy access to two bridges, Princetown and Buckland abbey.

Perfect pub in a perfect location - a welcome oasis surrounded by fantastic walks. The national trail heading west from here has some of the most beautiful countryside vistas I've ever seen, and the river a few minutes downhill is perfect for a little swim. Prices werevery reasonable considering I would have spent my life savings for a pint at the time.
