“Excellent proper pub serving proper pub food. Great steak and kidney pie with proper shortcrust pastry . Wife had Local portland crab. Some of the best i have seen in a few years. Washed down with a couple of pints of tasty butcome bitter . Perfect pub lunch.”

“Got in the car to write my review straight away.One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, reasonably priced for the fantastic quality of food. The staff were very attentive and lovely conversation. The restaurant is also clearly well thought out in terms of decor with lots of local themed art pieces and displays. Felt like a well loved and prideful place.Thank you Simon and Lauren for being exceptional hosts.Can’t say enough how impressed I am with the food, if we were local we’d be regulars!
