We are a group of friends who were staying in Abbotsbury and we ate and drank in this lovely local pub a few times during our stay. I had contacted the pub by phone a few weeks prior to our stay as we wanted to book a table for 7 for Sunday lunch and I spoke to the chef, Andy who advised us to come in bit early as they also had a party of 21 in that day. Excellent proper pub serving proper pub food. Great steak and kidney pie with proper shortcrust pastry . Wife had Local portland crab. Some of the best i have seen in a few years. Washed down with a couple of pints of tasty butcome bitter . Perfect pub lunch.

Recommended by our hotel we travelled out to the 'Swan' located in an attractive village, with outside seating it's a typical country pub that also serves food. You order from a comprehensive menu at the bar and service was speedy and friendly. The food itself was tasty and came in decent portions. Reasonably priced. Off street parking.
