Just returned from another stay at the Royal Exeter Hotel. I can't speak more highly of this hotel. It's an extremely well run hotel, the staff are all amazing, they are friendly, welcoming, helpful and efficient. My room was comfortable and clean as always, I've been lucky enough to stay in the same room for the last few years. The food in the restaurant, Oshii is amazing, the service is excellent. We stayed for 1 night, the hotel is in need of some updating. The room was ok, pillows were not to good, they need renewing. The cleaners need to be cleaning dust and dirt from skirting boards and carpets in the corners. The carpet in our room had a lump in the middle which was a trip hazard, it needs to be fitted properly. The toilet could only be flushed once, so if a second person wanted to go straight after you had to wait for the cistern to refill. We knew there was a nightclub...read full review

Had a lovely stay excellent quality breakfast , room clean helpful and efficient staff and convenient for both beach and town .Receptionist Sarah extremely helpful.Would recommend .The stairs were beautiful really old fashioned and the stained glass windows
