We only live half a mile from West Howe Fish and Chips, but this shop really does present lovely food. The fish is always beautifully cooked, and the portion of chips is plentiful. Can anyone get through a large chips on their own?! My favourite since a child has always been 'pea fritters' and West Howe's are the best - large, with lovely batter and moist peas inside. A good selection of takeaway food as well as drinks.
The place is always clean (as can be at a fish and chips shop) and the service is fast. Nice and generous portions and very nicely packed in paper and so it keeps warm until you get home.The fries small portion was huge and the double portion is good for 3 ppl, it was lovely and tasty, the fish was ok, but we didn't finish the fish feeling "Wow", in general the flavours were very plain.
