Their Sunday roasts are the best ever and fish dishes are perfectly cooked. Bar • “We have had the pleasure of staying at the delightful Fernhill Hotel near Charmouth several times and we would rate it as outstanding in every respect. There is always a warm welcome on arrival. The extensive menu choices are delicious with high quality ingredients and plenty of options for those with special dietary requirements. The rooms, some of which enjoy wonderful countryside views are superbly appointed, very relaxing and extremely comfortable. We are always looking forward to our next visit from the moment we leave.”

The room would have benefitted from an extra chair and is getting a bit tired but very clean, comfortable and quite. The bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend a visit.”

Bar • “Really lovely welcome here and we had a pleasant meal with the dog. The scallop starter special was lovely, as was the blanche bait (though the portion could have been bigger). The gammon special was excellent, as was the fish pie but the sea bass dish was a little disappointing (all dishes could have been seasoned more). Overall a great experience, the server was very attentive.”
“Lovely meal. And a very nice place. Pretty young waitresses who didn't have a clue or an understanding of the menu. I ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon with my fantastic ravioli and after 10 minutes a barman brought a Sauvignon Blanc. When I mentioned I was told there were lots of red wines available but not what I asked for. Tbh..he didn't seem to know what I was on about.”
