I love fish & chips and that means I know the great ones, from the good ones and the poor ones. Not only does S&E produce excellent fish & chips - light batter, wonderfully fresh fish - but I must also really commend the owners for making the sit down area DOG FRIENDLY. Next to the takeaway is an attractive seating area of 6 tables where you can eat your takeaway free of charge. The lady owner that serves is super friendly and welcoming. Give the unpredictability of British weather it’s often a big challenge where dog owners can get a snack or meal inside when it’s wet. We expected to have to take ours to done covered seating along the sea front do it was a brilliant bonus to find out we could take our dog Baxter inside. First rate fish & chips, first rate staff AND DOG FRIENDLY. I highly recommend it.

We wee staying in the Parkdean opposite the chippy and in our 4 night stay we have been twice! The fish and chips were fresh, seemingly cooked to order and really tasty!!!! Curry sauce was great. The service was polite, friendly and engaging which is a rare gem these days!!! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back when we next visit!!! Thank you ?

We visited based on our research on trip advisor and were very pleased that we did What a gem of a chippy, this is. The food was really nice and we thought the portions were generous. We particularly enjoyed the home made tartare sauce which was a nice touch. There was a queue when we got there however following a short walk to the beach and back it had already been cleared, so no issues there either. Nice chatting with the staff after we were finished as well. We will definitely go again next time we're in the area.
Some of the best fish and chips anywhere. The cues show this to be true, will often be cued for 30 to 40 mins to get in but it's so worth it. Amazing fish and chips reasonably priced. The specials are always worth a go. I had tempura king prawns this time and they were magic. Lovely. Chips. Batter is not too soft or crispy, perfect every time. Mushy peas are great. Only bit of feedback from. Me is the. Curry sauce wa disappointing. Over all 99/100 though. If I was to have fish and chips on my. Death bed this would be the fish and chips for. Me! Marvelous!

Que'd before opening. The place didn't even open. Signs were out and nothing to say they weren't opening. Only a sign saying closed until the 8th of August.It was the 26thWon't bother again

Disappointed. Greasy chewy batter on the fish. Cod was tasteless. Chips boring and soggy. So over rated. Wouldn’t recommend.

Gorgeous fish, chips & curry sauce. Very busy, but the service was very good. It's difficult to park outside, so it's easier to find a parking space, then walk there. Well worth it.
