What a lovely little place we have found, just on the outskirts of West Bay. We stayed in the River View Room which is just up a flight of stairs. A large bright airy room, huge bed and plenty of storage for clothes etc. Kettle with Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate making facilities in the room. Hairdryer, TV. Small fridge just outside the room on the landing is always very useful. Bathroom with shower was lovely. Parking on the driveway outside the front of the property. Views across fields towards the harbour (though you cannot see the sea) and river. John and Linda made us feel very welcome from the start. Always on hand with tips and advice on places to visit. Wonderful breakfasts, either cooked or cold, you made your choice (of cooked) the night before. Places we visited in the area included coastal path walks along East Cliff. Walking the coastal path in the other direction towards Eype, Thorncombe Beacon to Seatown where there is a pub. If you feel energetic continue walking to Golden Cap (we did this on a separate day) Lyme Regis, Weymouth, Portland, The Subtropical Gardens together with Chesil Beach and Abbotsbury Swannery definitely worth visiting. Pubs in West Bay, we mostly ate at The George (they don’t take bookings) and The Rise (which did take bookings) West Bay is approx. 10-15 mins easy flat walk from the B&B.

Wonderful place to stay , Linda and John made us very welcome , and the Breakfast was wonderful , perfectly cooked , presented , and more than enough .The Bedroom was tastefully furnished , and extremely comfortable , with Tea / coffee etc facilities , in fact everything you need .This was our first visit to Seadale , but our friends John and Liyn have been coming here for the past 8 years , and this won't be our last time , that's for certain

Stayed here a year ago for a couple of nights. Location was lovely, the owners were very friendly and accommodating..oh and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! I could have eaten five of them! Highly recommended for exploration of the Dorset coast
Had a very good 2 night stay at Seadale, run by hospitable John and Linda. I had everything I needed in the comfortable room with ensuite. Breakfasts were cooked to order and very substantial. Lovely area, close to the Harbour and beach, shops etc but surrounded by open fields.
