Friendly staff, efficiently dealt with my allergies. A lovely breakfast set us up for the journey homeVegetarian options: Staff helpful , breakfast was easy but more difficult for a full mealDietary restrictions: I am dairy free and gluten free was given a folder to check through. Staff helpful but decided against a full meal, although breakfast was perfect

This was not a good experience from start to leaving ,not to be repeated . Table not laid up no cutlery and no salt or pepper . Service so slow I didn’t get my pre ordered starter until the rest of my party had finished theirs . The tables weren’t cleared until the main courses were being served .The Xmas menu stated my chicken ham pie came with chips but it came with a sludge of mash which had a crust on it and was barely warm . Poor waitress hadn’t cleared the tables after at least 30 mins so we did it ourselves and then came the wait for deserts which eventually came served by the chef . The interminable time to pay was ridiculous as the computer wanted to charge more than the stated £16.99 for 2 courses . I sincerely hope I don’t get a parking fine for being there for longer than the 3 hours logged on the registration as the length of time we had to wait for food and to pay at the end was entirely out of my control .at least the company was good and luckily we all were tolerant .

Very disappointed this time. There appeared to be only 2 staff serving both the restaurant and bar areas. It was not busy but it was still 30 mins before our order was taken and a further 30 mins before starters arrived and then about another 45 mins before the mains came. Having spent over 2 hours already we didn't want to risk desserts. The food was OK, but it wasn't very hot and the rump steak was very tough. The waitress was very pleasant but obviously overworked.Dietary restrictions: Pleased to see separate gluten free menus for normal and festive meals. Very few establishments do this.

November 2023This used to be a regular eating place for many Christchurch diners, but quality and service had gone way down hill during last summer and we just stopped going.......But thanks to the enthusiastic efforts of Lucy (Maitre' d) and her staff (some in training), this has been truly reversed. Our group comprised 14 "seniors". We booked around 2 weeks in advance, and were (not unreasonably) requested to pre-order our meals 1 week before. We were warmly greeted on arrival and given a table near the bar in an area which would not disturb other diners. Our meals were served about 20 mins after last guest had arrived. Everybody got just what they had ordered - no substitutions required. All were served together, except for short wait for last dish, involving fried eggs, which arrived perfectly cooked. There was a minor complaint about some of the chips being cold and fresh bowls were promptly supplied. One guest accidently knocked his beer over and this was swiftly mopped up with minimum fuss.Sara, (the early xmas elf) and Lucy were very attentive throughout, and nothing was too much trouble.Settling up was easy, as staff were happy to sort out individual payments due the pre-order list given. The group agreed that the Bailey Bridge had been a good choice, and excellent value for money, will be spreading the news and returning soon. We also had a "secret diner" in our midst who endorsed this, though not writing a review on this occasion.Again, our thanks to Lucy, Sara and the supporting team for a great night out.Vegetarian options: A few options - remember a vegatable curry.Parking: Need to enter Reg number inside, to avoid parking fines. Up to 3 hrs allowed.

The food was ok and the staff helpful but as always in the Bailey Bridge the time taken to get fed is awful. There just isn’t enough staff. I was beginning to think my three hours in the car park was going to run out.

Arrived at 10am for unlimited breakfast, were not informed that breakfast service finished at 10.15. Paid £9.90 each for 2 people for breakfast, couldn't order any more as it was after 10.15. Very expensive breakfast, will not be recommending.

Fantastic waitress. Half the menu not available, apparently no onion rings cos too difficult to make unless out of a freezer. Had a fantastic toast a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately this time was terrible. Hair in egg! 1st Waitress argued but 2nd waitress was doing the work of 2 people with no help from other staff! Food was being sent back from nearly every table. Never to return!

Met up with some friends for dinner under catch up. Restaurant was very quiet. I think they were only two other tables as well as us. My friend's ordered the mixed grill which came out ok. Unfortunately my chicken was very dry. I ordered the Hunters chicken and the bacon was charred almost to a crisp and mostly uneatable. The cheese and BBQ sauce had dried to almost non-existent and the chicken itself was very dry. The bottom was charred which meant I couldn't eat it. Very few staff around to mention this but it was late and I didn't want to make too much of a fuss (my own fault yes, I know). Had to drink in the bar afterwards and we were were the only people there. Bar staff were attentive But I don't think I would visit again for dinner.Parking: Free parking outside for restaurant customers. Just make sure you park in the correct place (not the spaces designated for overnight stays in the adjoining Premier Inn)

Service was so slow. We book a table for 630. As was a big family we had to pre book our orders the night before which was fine But food took so long to come out. A hour waiting, the restaurant wasn't even busy. Hardly saw any members of staff at all. Even cleared the table our self's as nobody was coming back And when the children's desserts came out they forgot to bring one out leaving one child sat waiting while the others had theirs, this was now gone 9pm. Even when comes to parking had to ask for a extension time for parking as took so long Will not be returning

Had breakfast and evening meal deal.On arrival at the restaurant we sat down and were asked for our drink order which took a long time to arrive,We then placed the meal choice,My son ordered a burger without bacon and sauce which the waitress wrote down and my wife ordered chicken tikka. After a very long wait the meals turned up ,My sons burger did have bacon and sauce in it After asked not to have either And my wifes chicken tikka was only just warm ,Both meals had to go back to the kitchen to be sorted out.Nearly two hours later we managed to leave the restaurant after only two courses. The next morning we had breakfast the service was a bit better lots to offer but they sill managed to get the full English breakfast wrong After writing down what was wanted. Only consulation was it was a unlimited breakfast..

Lost 2 stars. 1 main meal forgot to be ordered, so it arrived 10 minutes after my guests had started so their meals would not get cold. Totally unacceptable.
