Brilliant place lovely staff but can not make cocktails, you can’t put gin Prosecco and a squeeze of lemon in a glass and call it a French 75!!!!

Got a walk-in table on Sunday 7th jan for lunch - had to sit outside as we had our dog with us but it was fine - blankets were available and we were lucky with the weather for Jan! Really lovely place, the food was fantastic and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Awesome location and views when sat outside. Really enjoyed our trip and look forward to coming back for a longer evening meal.

Sea food beauty and tasty, recommended for sea food lovers also if someone like good steak. Lobster fresh and delicious, scallops perfect cooked. Thanks for nice food experience.

Great food at a fair price, especially with the various deals they offer on certain nights. Staff were top notch. Ambience was spot on with gentle lighting & pleasant decor-really well done.

We turned up without booking and luckily got a table. We had the best Eggs Benedict, amazing we didn’t want it to finish. Service was great and lovely happy staff. Definitely recommend 10/10.Kid-friendliness: Staff were so friendly and smiling

Great location and really lovely food. It was really really busy but the service was excellent. Not over priced for sea food either. Can't fault it.

We have been here more than a few times. We have never been disappointed - great fresh fish with good, friendly service and attention to detail. The owners are always in evidence.

We had a family dinner here, it doesn’t know what it is? High end dining prices with mediocre quality food, the menu is confused between cafe and restaurant dishes, service was curt and without personality. So much potential but lacks clear direction and definition.

This is the third time I have eaten here and it never fails to impress. Gorgeous views today of the wind and kite surfers whilst we were served absolutely top quality food in this popular seafront restaurant. Everything from my beautifully made cocktail at the beginning, to the coffee with treats at the end, was of an exceptional quality. We both had fish specials which were creative and delicious. It’s not inexpensive, but I am happy to pay for food of this quality and excellent service. Looking forward to coming back again already. Cannot recommend enough.

Excellent lunch for my partner’s birthday with five fa,ily members. The food was of an exceptional quality, with superb and friendly waiter from “Hull” (actually Czech Republic). We are fairly regular visitors during the different seasons and this visit was of its usual high standard.

This used to be in our top 10 restaurants in Dorset. Sadly now it is in the bottom 10. The staff and food used to be amazing but something has changed. Is it the chef? Or has the owners greed taken over? They now own most of the establishments in Avon Beach, have increased their prices and lower their standards. An example, have you ever heard of a lobster thermidor made by simply pouring a bouillabaisse sauce over the lobster ? No cheese or traditional thermidor sauce. If you want to serve something different then say so but don't call it thermidor when it bears no resemblance because you will not fulfill customers expectations. This was £32.50. My husband ordered the shellfish pie at £27.50. What a joke! A watery sauce as it had split, 3 prawns a couple of mussells, very small and hardly any fish. The potato Ana on top was burnt. The manageress couldn't understand why we were disappointed. She took the food away but charged us for the 2 glasses of wine. The restaurant was only half full on Boxing Day so perhaps others feel as we now do. We want it to be successful but they really do need to change their ways. Keep the prices high, fine, but improve the quality of the food. It will be a while before we return, if ever as there are somany good restaurants in the area.

This restaurant wants to be a cafe while at the same time fine dining and fails on both fronts. A fish finger bap and a cup of tea just doesn't fit alongside a menu which includes a Shellfish Platter for 2 at £132.50 with champagne and wine at up to £470 a bottle! We visited in the hope of a decent seafood meal at a fair price which failed on both counts. The menu over-hypes many dishes for example half of the 'Seacuterie' plate is no more than flavoured butter, some oil with splash of vinegar in it and bread leaving just three items which could be described as charcuterie. The standard of cooking was overall disappointing and certainly not special enough for the prices charged. I’m glad others enjoyed their visits but this is not a place I shall return to.
