We booked a table for supper on Friday evening while staying in Dorchester. A quick 10 minute drive through the countryside brought us to this lovely pub. We were an hour early but that was no problem. The landlord and landlady were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful, friendly pub with humour, yet professional, excellent food, and very clean. They also have a big garden so I'd expect it is excellent in warm, dry weather, too!

Food looks great, friendly staff.Great beer garden... but they could do better with their steak and Ale pie.Bigger pot or no pot at all for the pie. Don't serve baked beans from a tin with a pie that has gravy in it. Serve green beans instead. The mash was reheated, not fresh.

Evening meal only, booked at last minute. Really friendly welcome, great range of drinks and the food was excellent. Pork and mushroom Alfredo, steak and ale pie.

High prices for food and lack of it on a plate. Maybe it was just the x5 meals we ordered when we where their.

My husband and I booked late but was given first class service. Warm, friendly and relaxed. We had an excellent meal, the quality of the food, presentation and ambiance was excellent. The bread and butter pudding was criminally delicious.
Lovely out of the way pub. Friendly staff. Offer Gluten Free options which is always a bonus. I visited for my birthday and enjoyed a pie without pastry, peas and mash. Did not pay so not sure on price - my guy thought his pie was okay but not amazing. They happily swapped peas for onion rings for him. I would go again for the atmosphere and friendliness.Food & drinks: As above

We had Sunday lunch at the Brewers Arms for my birthday and it was excellent. Three of us chose the vegetarian option as it was a squash Wellington, it was really lovely to not see a dull nutroast on the menu. It was delicious and packed with filling. There was a great selection of vegetables with huge roast potatoes, parsnip, carrot, red cabbage, swede and a yorkshire pudding. My mum really enjoyed her roast chicken. My husband managed to fit in a pudding - a chocolate brownie with cream, which was really very lovely. Great service, the staff were all super!
