Nice pub which served us very good local beer and paninis at reasonable cost, served by friendly staff. We sat outside but inside looked comfortable and clean. Dog friendly.

Little gem of a pub nestled in the middle of Tolpuddle village. There was a nice lunch menu and reasonably priced too. The food was homemade and very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub had a lovely cosy feel. Really lovely!Parking: We parked on the road nearby as we were on a walk but there was room to park easily in the pubs car park

8 of us ate lunch with mine, the Martyrs Pie being last to arrived. To say I was underwhelmed with the portion size would be an understatement. The pie was a tiny piece, child size, and the meet inside was almost absent. At a £17 price tag this poor value for money. Others who had roasts were less disappointed. I should have raised it at the time but in a large group you don’t want to create a fuss and cause delays to what was otherwise a pleasant time

We came out for a birthday lunch, and unfortunately didn’t have a very good experience. They were out of several meals (which I fully understand) but it would have been nice to be told what wasn’t available when we were sat down rather than being told when trying to order. Most of the meals were pretty good but unfortunately the jacket potatoes were undercooked. It was also very cold inside with one tiny fire going, no heating on. We did ask if it was possible for them to be turned on, only to be met with our server saying “There’s nothing I can do” causing us to all sit there freezing! Can’t say we will be rushing back there any time soon!!

Really lovely dinner at The Martyrs Inn this evening. Great new dinner menu, including pub classics and much more. Super friendly staff, great warm atmosphere. So great to have this village pub open again. Dog friendly too.

One of the only EV charging points in the area with a very good place to rest and eat while charging. We stopped twice in three days. If more places like this install chargers then it is bound to bring in extra business.Vegetarian options: I chose the burger and rate is as exceptional.

So pleased to have “The Martyrs Inn “ back. Well done to all . The refurbishment is great. The pub is looking top notch and the staff are very welcoming. The pub really is the heart of this village and I hope it gets the support from all the locals in the area and plenty of visiting custom. We will be visiting and supporting as much as we can.

Stopped on the off chance for a drink and some lunch. Found the pub to be extremely comfortable, friendly and welcoming, even to my lively Dalmatian! The food on offer gave a good choice at reasonable cost and was delicious. We will go back, soon for sure!Vegetarian options: Good choice, plenty of options. Had the jacket with roast vegetables and it was lovely.

This is our local pub so I might be a little bit biased but we had another great meal tonight?. Starters of garlic bread an brie wedges were followed gammon steak and fish cakes with poached eggs, both excellent. Our friends had delicious chicken in mushroom sauce. Looking forward to our next meal at the Martyrs Inn.

Delighted to find this lovely pub had reopened. We called in for lunch in the hope it was as good as it used to be. Everything about it was superb, from the decor, the staff and the food. It has retained a great balance between village pub with a restaurant feel. The staff were so friendly and very obliging. There is plenty of choice for a lunchtime menu, at very reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back to try the evening menu. We had panninis with salad and the tastiest chips I had ever eaten. I wish everyone involved in the reopening of this fabulous pub the very best for it's future success.

Delicious BBQ food for a relaxed Sunday lunch. Offered a taster before we ordered which was a nice touch. Good customer service in a peaceful village location.

Called in on spur of the moment for lunch. Warm welcome from staff, Struggled to decide what to eat but had two starters which was amazing, my brother in law had pizza, which certainly caught the eye, completely filled his plate! Would highly recommend a visit
