We only went there for drinks and to take in the stunning views, and we had a good time, with good service.

Quiet comfortable restaurant with excellent views. Service caring and professional. Quite expensive but worth it. Food good quality.

This is a great hotel; rooms are spotless and very comfortable, the Bistro offers amazing views and the food is excellent too (one tiny criticism; the evening menu needs a lighter option). What really makes this hotel special is the staff- every single person we came across was friendly, attentive and efficient. Special thanks to Belinda, she is an absolute treasure and really looked after my 89 year old mum. Thank you so much! We would definitely recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.

Opted for the carvery which at £20 is overpriced. The carvery included beef and gammon which were nice but chicken portions that are obviously not carved! Vegetables were average although good selection. Disappointing food but amazing view of chesil beach and surrounding area

Really good Sunday lunch with family. 1st class carvery with decent fish and vege options alongside. Well cooked meat and generous veg, the usuals plus creamed sweet potato, delicious leek in mustard and cream sauce, red cabbage, all done really well. Generous desserts also; traditional Mess with meringue, open apple pie, banana split and a very intense chocolate pot, all recommended. We didn’t do starters but we really didn’t need them, if they are as good as the main they will be fab. Strongly recommend this, it was quiet as well, and of course the amazing view. Service was friendly efficient and unobtrusive

Visited with two couples and another friend. Under the hotel sign it says, 'Open to Non Residents' but upon entry we were rudely told we were not allowed into the bar and it was residents only. I questioned this and pointed out the sign and was rudely told that we were not welcome. Odd as the place was so quiet it didn't look like it could afford to turn away paying customers.

There really are spectacular views from the bistro. It’s a spacious area and the food is very good. We were served warm bread rolls while our meals were being prepared. Service was friendly and efficient.

Far too expensive given the standard of the food and the cooking. A great disappointment. In my opinion this is cafe food masquerading as restaurant quality.

Lovely stunning hotel but the restaurant let's it down unfortunately! Set menu with mostly meat dishes and only one dish I could actually eat. Same with Mum being a vegetarian. Next night to avoid eating the same thing again we get food from elsewhere but sadly refused the right to sit in the restaurant to enjoy the views. It was freezing cold out and we paid for a hotel with stunning views for a reason. Watching the sunset was something we planned for Mum's birthday, but ended up going back to our rooms as there's nowhere else to enjoy the views. We would have been more than happy sitting in another part (round the corner away from everyone for the sake of their reputation) or using their plates etc, noone would have even known! Silly really but will probably not eating there again! Breakfast was lovely, just the dinner menu and the lady managers service on the evening of 4th March that were an issue.

It's just ok. Rooms a bit tired and curtains from the 80s. I didn't like the amount of of concrete internally and externally but that is personal choice. Evening restaurant food was ok, not brilliant to be honest and service v slow the night we ate. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. View from dining room sensational and breakfast was good, we would give that 8/10.

Good food and wonderful view of Chesil beach and the end of the Fleet. If you like ale, the Bass is the best offering, but served chilled. If it isn't fogy as per one of our evenings..

Stopped here for coffee and ice cream (Children) whisky on a coastal walk. Excellent service under Covid 19 guidelines. Fantastic views too!
