“Tamburino Gold is a good restaurant offering delicious Italian meals with great service and no waiting time - we visited on a Saturday afternoon. They also have similar branch/restaurant in Yeovil and Street in Somerset which is great - the menu is similar. The only downside was the door leading to the kitchen, which looked quite dirty and unkempt, with visible marks that made the seating area feel less pleasant. Otherwise, a nice dining experience overall.”

The building is lovely and the rooms are certainly not a disappointment. I could hear an owl hooting outside and the stars were very visible in the clear dark skies

The bathroom is basically a wet room...or mine was.

The restaurant was great. Breakfast was just right and was promptly served. Dinner really was delicious.

I had the smoked chicken salad starter (see pic) and it was so nice I immediately wanted another one. Everything I had was freshly cooked with good quality, fresh ingredients. Of course the high quality is reflected in the price but it was not particularly expensive. If you want cheap, then go to McDonalds.

The staff were great. Courteous and didn't mind a joke.

I loved the place. It was an absolute highlight of my trip.

The downside is the phone reception which the hotel can't do much about but their WiFi worked well so I just made calls on WhatsApp.”
