“Visited friends in Swanage over the weekend. Great company and weather . Visited the Black Swan for Sunday lunch. Great food, only spoilt by having our roast meal drowned in gravy when we'd asked for our gravy to be separate. Otherwise, really great roast . ?”

“Well this is truly a GRAND hotel. It has been updated to a very high standard. Stunning tropical rain shower, wonderful crisp linen & great tea & coffee tray. We had an evening meal in the veranda restaurant the quality of food & service were 1st class. Breakfast was in a very modern & bright dining room, again 1st class food & attentive staff. Did not use the Spa, pool or exercise equipment, the area was very clean. Our only problem was at Breakfast on both days was that the kitchen could not supply a soft poached egg, they offered on both days to try again but the had a delicious fry up instead. If you want too stay somewhere GRAND you won't do better for your money than here.We stayed in room 203”

“We popped in for a beer & to watch a match that had an early ko time, as we had been told that they show live sports. There was only one other punter sat in there, so plenty of room. It’s situated down on the end of the road right on the seafront, nice spot.It has outside seating & lots of tables inside. It has modern decoration & I imagine it can get quite busy.”

“It is a really lovely pub with a welcome feeling to it. It is dog friendly too which is really important to us. After reading some of the reviews, some of which weren't so good, we decided to try it for ourselves. I'm so glad we did. It was a delicious meal, with good-sized portions and happy, attentive staff. Thank you to the staff for a fantastic meal. ? ?”

“We was stopping at the Rookery B & B and the Crows Nest was conveniently over the road. We decided to stop for a drink on our first night and then decide where we would eat in the town. On ordering our drinks we noticed they had a menu and decided it looked delicious so we stayed. I can honestly say the food was amazing. Our husbands had the chicken curry which came with onion bhaji's, rice and poppadoms. My friend had the prawn salad. I have never seen so many prawns and she couldn't eat them all. I had the nachos and chilli. Just wow! It was not only tasty but so filling. I can eat for England and really struggled to finish it all. I didn't want it to end so ended up feeling uncomfortably stuffed. The staff were very friendly and so welcoming. I would definitely recommend you visit this place”

“Very nice place, with kind staff. It's almost self-service, but they explain everything. The day we went was a Monday and the menu only had pies, which were delicious!!It has relatively close parking, not of the shop, but around there on the street.”

“We often visit Swanage and have been to this pub many times for drinks but this was our first time for food. The staff were very friendly and efficient but the food was something of a let down. Don't get me wrong, it was okay, but just okay. We wouldn't think of going back again to eat there but we would go back for drinks.”
