“Best pub food around. Really good choice, tasty food, and well served. Not many seats in the winter inside so need to book, but well worthwhile.”

“A hidden gem! The decor may not initially draw you in but once inside it’s is a lovely welcoming atmosphere and the food is exceptionally good! We really enjoyed our meal there and will be raving about it until we visit the area again. Thank you to our lovely host and chef (who came to check in with us!). Real, delicious food. If you are in the area then it’s a must stop for dinner!
Vegetarian options: Great!”

“Amazing spooky old pub. Was here just for drinks as we missed the food time. Interesting place. The garden is awesome, quite a few tables on a bit of an incline. Mini stone circle and memorials out there.”

“Unfortunately food was not available when we visited but at the time we were only looking for a snack.
What a pub, not necessarily to everyone's taste but the atmosphere and the socialside with the barman/landlord (?) and locals was really welcoming.
The Ale was awesome, my first pint tasted so good it disappeared so quick I had to buy another. Even better it was in a dimple glass with a handle.
Best PUB I have been in for ages.”

“Very good Sunday dinner. Good service too. Just a bit cold, there is an open fire but we were early and it hadn't warmed up. Would go again but maybe a bit later.”

“A shining example of a pub. Great seating lovely views. Great beer, great snacks and pasties, or even a brownie.
Has a good selection of crisps and sides.
It even has its own museum which is interesting and worth a visit anyway.”
