Came here on recommendation, we were not disappointed! Rare to come across a place like this - A small cosy restaurant with very good quality food, drinks all at a fair price. Don’t let the decor fool you as this had no bearing on the experience!
We went there on the 24th for my birthday, my scallops starter was really good, although I did covet the wife's Soufflé. I had the lamb as a main and it was exceptional, the Australian Shiraz from the Barossa Valley was excellent. I can certainly recommend Tawneys

Came for a family celebration, not expecting much, but was surprised by brilliant food, cosy and quiet atmosphere and great wine.Can say from experience that desert is definitely worth it.
