“Was looking for a decent Sunday lunch and walked by this pub on the way to another. We are so glad that we stopped here as the food was the best that we had had in a long time and the service was friendly and pleasant! The best vegetarian roast meal that I think I’ve ever had and i can be fussy ? Well done for making a great impression on us and thank you. We will definitely be recommending this pub to others!”

“Second visit - just as excellent. Still retains a very welcoming ambience with lovely local ales. We were lucky to enough to hit ‘fish fry-day’ and bagged the tastiest fish and chips we’ve enjoyed in years. We chose a local caravan site as it was close to this pub - enough said!”

“This place was great! Stumbled across the Black Bear after visiting the Tank Museum. We had one of the specials, pulled pork and fries which were really tasty and surprised me! And at a very decent price of £9.50! There are a few places to park and it was really nice to sit outside in the sun, friendly staff as well. I would definitely recommend to anybody in the area!”
