Service was poor, menu was nothing like the Website menu, we were handed a A4 piece of paper with a few meals to choose from about 5 simple starters with prices and about 6 mains with no prices and no expectations of what was in the meals this is a Thai restaurant, the manager is not Thai and when asked didn't really know what the ingredients were. My husband said his meal was ok but had tasted much better Thai for less money, I was very disappointed with my meal ordered the special curry when it came in a bowl and had to be eaten with a spoon the sauce was that thin it was a very boring, bland meal. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated in traditional Thai style which is what attracted us to giving the place a try we should have known it wasn't up to much when the place was empty.

Room price was ok. Poor room lighting and not 100% clean i.e. carpet stains.

Arrived mid-afternoon and the friendly lass working in the bar booked me in... it was clearly a friendly place and this was confirmed later when I met the proprietor. I had a great meal and two good breakfasts here and no complaints at all. If you're looking for 'swish'... this isn't the place to be, it's got character and is all the better for it. The drinkers in the bar were friendly and good humoured as were all the staff. I'd stay here again if I was in the area because the proprietor and staff are kindly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble...and I really don't like 'chain' hotels with their slick anonymity, this place is quirky! Loved my two-night stay!

Stayed overnight with two teenagers to attend my sons graduation in Durham. Kids loved the brief stay due to the friendliness of the staff and the lovely breakfast.Would definately stay again. Highly recommend it and my kids are seasoned, critical travellers. Great value for money.👍 👏 😁

Stayed for 1 night in a triple room. Arrived at 8pm after a long journey and met by a very friendly male. After checking in was offered a meal in the bar, which we accepted and had excellent fish and chips. The room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Towels and toiletries were in the bathroom and tea/coffee facilities were in the room. Breakfast was a full English with cereal an£ fruit available.

We were very lucky to get a last minute booking here after another hotel messed up and cancelled our booking and all the local hotels were packed due graduation week at Durham University. A warm welcome, comfortable bed, good shower and a fantastic breakfast - we couldn't have asked for more! The management were very helpful, we only wish we had a chance to try the evening menu. Thank you for a great stay!
