Japanese Restaurants in Durham

“Delicious food, friendly and professional staff, great value for money - especially with the weekday lunch offer! Will definitely be coming back.”

“We wanted somewhere slightly off the beaten track as Durham was very busy hosting the Brass Festival. So we walked over Framwelgate Bridge into a quieter area and found Nudo. We both had a Bao bun (£4) after the lady behind the counter explained what one was by showing how she made one. We had pork char siu and aromatic duck, both with teriyaki sauce. The bun part is steamed bread and is very light. The buns were delicious. The only fault we found was that the bun is served in a small box even if you opt to eat inside and you get no cutlery (not needed with the bun) and no serviettes despite the sauce being very sticky. However the wc was available to wash hands when finished. It's more like a cafe than a restaurant. We would definitely eat here again.”
