Visited this lovely restaurant early on an evening and the food was authentic and great value for money .The squid and prawn starters were excellent. Service was good. Would definitely return .

We have done Indian takeouts from Penash multiple times- it has always been spot on. We have tried several dishes from here- chicken lollipop, manchurian chicken, paneer tikka masala, fried rice, lamb rara, naans, etc. Everything was delicious! My husband’s favorite is the lamb rara, and mine is chicken manchurian. Planning to try many other dishes very soon. The owner is also a really friendly gentleman.Very highly recommend!

Absolutely disgusting customer service, complained about the chicken chatt not being a usual chicken chatt that I am used too, no fluffy bread n dry as sticks! To be talked down to by the manager, said he dosnt know where I have gone in the past but they are the best! Really!! I have been to many Indian restaurants and never come across anything like these people, not nice at all, Save your money don’t go there!!! Didn’t even get to the main meal?

Nicest Indian restaurant we’ve been too in so long ( can’t actually remember how long tbf). Service was brilliant, food was lovely and drinks were lovely as expected! Would highly recommend and looking forward to returning for a meal again!

There is nothing clean. Dirty, bad smell. The shower was full of dirt and mold (you just have to see the photos). With great luck, while I was taking a shower, pieces of that mold fell on my head and body, which I had to clean myself. They run away from the place. We have claimed the return and they reject it. Scoundrels. I think the positive reviews are put by themselves.

When we stayed last time, the restaurant was closed, but the chef rustled up a superb meal that we ate in the bar. We had been looking forward to choosing from the full menu and were not dissapointed. Lovely authentic and tasty food, friendly & prompt service and good atmosphere. Just a pity that it's 260 miles from where we live.

Food itself is ok, staff friendly and attentive: but very disappointed that there are no chefs specials: just a very standard menu and a bit dated now .... the starters were very large portions, so ended up bringing most of the main course home, but didnt eat it ... the Biriyani doesnt come with a veg curry, just a minty raita: very odd, but told this is Bangladesh authentic cuisine: it was just a plate of vegetable rice... Sorry, wont be returning.

Extremely pathetic food. Even not fresh. Onion baji was refried and had been extremely salty, alu bhaji was sweet, chatni had artificial colour and not like the indian mint chutni. Alu ticki was extremely dry very salty andnot edible. Please avoid at every cost

Food is definitely better than what it was. Since the new chef has taken over there has been a change in taste to a more Indian flavour than the usual Bangladeshi taste in the other so called Indian restaurants. Does not look flashy. It's a pub and a B&B based restaurant.Vegetarian options: Various optionsParking: Free parking at the back
