Place is a bit scruffy and unkempt. But the beer is good, and the live bands are great. Hear the good is really good on a Sunday. Bar staff are great, should train some of the luchinaos bar crew.

The Moorcock is a really lovely pub literally just off the A19 at Peterlee. With cracking bands and live music in the lounge, it's a really friendly and appreciative crowd that get in. Friday night is a great night out for that. In the bar there is a pool table and good craic from the moment you walk through the door.If you are just passing through it's a great stop off for the A19. I've been to "Services" that were further away from the turning. It couldn't be easier to find and Google maps knows the way as well. ?In the words of Arnie "I'll be back"!
