The Moorcock is a really lovely pub literally just off the A19 at Peterlee. With cracking bands and live music in the lounge, it's a really friendly and appreciative crowd that get in. Friday night is a great night out for that. In the bar there is a pool table and good craic from the moment you walk through the door.If you are just passing through it's a great stop off for the A19. On and off been going to the Moorcock for years, it has been in the same hands for a good few years now, and has always been flexible and ready to try to New ideas to bring in new business, while maintaining its regular core of customers. Nice inside the pub from what I could make out... It was a hot day so we just stopped for a quick swallow as we passed... It seems to have an interesting layout with plenty of character and different parts to it... Outside is a strange setup with tables being right near a busy road with traffic slowing and accelerating from the nearby roundabout... All that being said, a handy little spot 2 minutes from Screwfix with tame locals and very friendly staff, will definitely visit again...
