The Village, The Grn, PeterleeVisited on a random Tuesday without booking. No problem with getting a table, staff very friendly. Drinks good, food excellent. Good gluten free options, all clearly marked. Was very quiet, but it was a Tuesday in january, I expect the atmosphere would be very different on a weekend night.

Durham Way, Oakerside Park, PeterleeWe went on a lunchtime. There was about 6 diners in total. Food was lovely. The ambiance is lovely. We had lasagne. Very nice. Unfortunately my friend only managed a few mouth fulls. They kindly boxed hers up to take home.

They work very hard in this very busy Gregg's and always do their best to get to us as quickly as possible and are all very polite and decent to deal with. The food is always great and on the rare occasion that items I wanted were not readily available, they went through the effort of preparing them for me immediately while I wait. Excellent overall and all staff deserve recognition for the effort they put in. Highly recommend!

106 Edenhill Rd, PeterleeThey had already shut the shop but the shutters weren’t down yet, they had packed away and tidied up when i had gone in and they still made my food after closing time working alone. Lovely people. Shutter has just gone down as i’m writing this.

1, Warren Square, Horden, PeterleeFirst time ordering a takeout from here , food was absolutely beautiful , I usually go to wingate tandoori but it hasn’t been upto scratch lately so thought I’d give this place a try, I’m so pleased I did , it will be my go to Indians from now on , i would highly recommend this takeaway, outstanding food 5 star , fast delivery, thank you

However I have only been to the Shotton branch of AJ's food, because I live in Shotton and the shop is practically round the corner. Despite them being busy, the delivery service is absolutely fantastic. Cannot fault the breakfasts, either as a full meal or on a bread roll, the Hot Meat sandwiches and especially my personal favourite chicken curry and chips either with or without rice. Both teams at both shops you should all be very proud of yourselves because you deliver 5-star service & 5 star food at 1 star prices.

38 Seaside Ln, PeterleeChicken kebab was moist and flavoursome. Pitta was soft amd salad was fresh.
Garlic nd chilli very nice too.
Ordered very late at night and expected to wait 30 mins for delivery but it arrived earlier.
Delivery drivers were very friendly.
Will definitely use again.

20 Yoden Way, PeterleeCame here for the first with my mother, we were welcomed by the owner and taken our order at our table. The food is outstanding and my mince and dumplings came nice and hot, as well as my mother’s lasagne. Staff are so polite and cheerful, i will be coming here again

Wow wow wow incredible staff was on point 10/10 decided on fish and chips and a jumbo sausage peas and curry sauce.
Fish was cooked to perfection chips was incredible and jumbo sausage was 2 and the peas and curry sauce was lovely

Cafe in the Dene
1 Stanhope Chase, PeterleeHad a delicious brunch / lunch of Sweet Chilli chicken panini and pot of tea, while my wife opted for the carrot cake with a flat white. The cafe was busy but managed to find a table straight away. The car park was full, as it was a lovely sunny day, so had to park on the roadside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife bought a cheese scone to eat later. The homemade cakes and apple pie looked delicious. Highly recommend a visit.

Burnhope Way, PeterleeWe held our daughters wedding here on Saturday. I can't thank the staff enough for their amazing attention to detail. Everything they did was great. They couldn't do enough to make the day special and go without a hitch. The room was perfect and staff helped us set the tables and decorations.
Thank you to all who worked so hard. We will definitely use that room again for future parties.

The vino was also very pleasant. As were the service and staff. Made very welcome. If you want White linen and fine dining, best skip but it you want a friendly, helpful, tasty pub meal try it.

Cotsford Ln, Horden, PeterleeOrdered for delivery to my truck as parked up for the night food came on time and it was by far one of the best chinese takeaway meals i have had. Plenty of meats in the special curry and. Ig chunks not little bits. and the salt and pepper chips were nice and spicy. Will definitely order again if im in the area.
