Surprised and delighted to find a curry option in an Italian restaurant. It was delicious and a very generous portion. I can't speak too highly of Il Cancello. Very much recommended.

Ordered 3 dinners from this restaurant and returned them as shocked at portion size,which my family agreed who I was buying them for, to be fair my refund was refunded swiftly but in leaving the restaurant the proprietor followed me out telling me not to come back and go find somewhere cheaper for dinners, I replied saying it wasn’t about the money but the portion sizes , and why was he being rude, which he replied it clearly is about money and his dinners are the best around,, which I wasn’t disputing that fact as I can’t comment on taste as we didn’t try them,clearly doesn’t like criticism , and I wonder if I had been a male returning the food would he of followed them out.?? An upsetting experience ,

I bring my wife here for a lovely night out to give her the night off. As a treat this place always puts a smile on my face. Family ran the staff or friendly know there stuff happy to help we are vegetations the menu is perfect for us. We often get a take away for a night in also Cancello also has a lovely out doors seated area for the Summer

We come here all the time in the summer and eat outside with the dogs. They have a lush seating area. They always bring the dogs outwater and treats and are so lovely and welcoming! Lovely family run business with amazing food. We come for date night on a weekend too. Throughly enjoy it each time :) fav place to come! ALSO THE GARLIC POTATOES ARE BANGING!
