The dining area was by no means full, yet the waitress chose to sit a table of two next to a noisy table of toddlers. Even though there were other options. When the roast dinner arrived it was luke warm at best and some of the roasted veg was so undercooked it wasn't edible. Other elements clearly outlined on the menu were literally one fork full for decoration! The ladies bathroom was dated, dirty and adorned with well established and extensive cobwebs, their residents and unfortunate victims. The standards in the kitchen and elsewhere have clearly dropped dramatically since our last visit and with so many high quality options in the area we won't be bothering again!

Stayed in room 5, but before that I had a pint of Guinness as I didn't spot any ciders I usually drink. I went out for fish and chips as I found their food menu to be too steep for my pockets as well for breakfast, but the pub was full, is dog friendly and nice cars are parked in the small and funny arranged car park that can fill up quickly, but I managed to fit my van. My single room had a tv that can be watched from the table or bed as it moves. Limited tea and coffee supply and a small cup for my like. Had a bath at night and had to have shower in the morning as heated room made me sweat. Toilet is noisy and I could hear the room above me using it, once. Lovely and kind stuff working there

Service and staff great! Food poor! I ordered Hunters chicken - served with chips and green salad. I requested no chips and it arrived with approx half chicken breast - which was lovely, tablespoon of coleslaw and what looked and tasted like cabbage leaves. When I mentioned it to staff they brought a small bowl of extra salad and a pot of mayonnaise or but I had already finished eating.

I was very fortunate to dine at the Green Dragon for the 2nd time this week, both at lunchtime. Both times the atmosphere was very good, the staff excellent, and the food was lovely. I love the lunch menu (2 courses for £15.75/3 courses for £18.50)very good value, good choices on the menu, and very tasty too.One of the best gastro pubs in the East Riding without doubt. I highly recommend a visit. The steaks are amazing.

I would love to come

Long wait, only 2 courses in two hours, what if we had wanted, pudding and coffee. Also, two very tiny pieces of bread with pate, we asked for more, cost extra on the bill £1.97, that could buy two loves.

Bar and waitress were a not very good at communicating, our starter took about 45 mins to arrive after we ordered and it wasn’t very busy. The toilets had no toilet roll holder, one toilet was blocked with used roll and excrement and the overall cleanliness was very poor in the toilets. The food and drinks where excellent as was the bar lounge area.

A nice pub for a drink after a walk around Welton and the local area and hills. Pleasantly full on Boxing Day afternoon and a good choice of beers. Not eaten there for a while but will give it another go in 2024.
