Villa d’Este

We (3 ladies) visited on Thursday evening 14th March, whilst staying in the area. It was a delightful experience from the warm welcome, helping with our wet coats, through to our departure after a fabulous meal. The service staff were efficient and unobtrusive, the menu options were varied, my fish choice and those of my friends were delicious. We all agreed it was an evening and a meal to remember. Thank you to all at Villa d'Este.

Red Hawk

I love bringing my son here it’s such a family place local community. Staff always know what we want to eat and what table number we are always at. Can’t fault this place at all. Well done red hawk teamDietary restrictions: All of the ingredients are listed and the grams of each category if you order on the QR code. I am on a restricted diet so I always have to check unfortunately - but it was so easy to do. Most restaurants only provide calorie content but my diet is a lot more restrictive for health reasons and for this reason - again - a trusted place to dine in

Market Hill Fisheries

Excellent fish and chip supper tonight. This is the best I have had for along time. Ryan and his team work very hard to provide good food and service. Will be going back soon and recommend others should too.

Trinity Bar and Kitchen

We visited Trinity Bar & Kitchen on Saturday 3 February, initially for a drink. However, when we were seated we quickly realised what a great place this was. The attentiveness of the staff and welcoming invite led us to have our evening meal there. We then ventured upstairs as there was live music on. What a treat this was! We were constantly checked in on, provided with a first class service and were so impressed we decided to return today for our breakfast. The quality of the food, the presentation and the helpfulness of the staff really made an impression on us. We would highly recommend this little gem to anyone who visits South Cave and would like to thank the owners and their array of staff for making our visit to South Cave a memorable one.

Had a great takeout last night (ordered around 7pm Tuesday night)Staff were great, repeated the order back on the phone, and told the price.A very reassuring hygiene rating of 5, we love to see it!The food was really great:Loved the satay sauce, it was one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating, sweet, spicy and nutty.Rich gravy.The prawn toast was cooked perfectly, great texture, hot, crispy, and pillowy soft in the middle.Chips were fresh, can tell they weren't reusing old oil or recooking chips from the night before.Noodles, perfectly cookedBeef was tasty. The Jolly Sailor Inn

Always good food and good value for moneyUpdate 2024. Since my last visit the pub is under new management. Fiona is now the landlady and I'm pleased to say the food is still excellent, and the beer is good. Always nice to drop in for a meal with generous portions of good food.

Voujon Indian Restaurant and Takeaway in Brough

We came on the recommendation of Google and it was just superb, friendly staff and gorgeous food, pleasant on the eye too, not to fussy. Simple elegant and nicely presented with some great artwork. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and it was very busy!!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a lift upto the restaurant

Green Dragon

Stayed in room 5, but before that I had a pint of Guinness as I didn't spot any ciders I usually drink. I went out for fish and chips as I found their food menu to be too steep for my pockets as well for breakfast, but the pub was full, is dog friendly and nice cars are parked in the small and funny arranged car park that can fill up quickly, but I managed to fit my van. My single room had a tv that can be watched from the table or bed as it moves. Limited tea and coffee supply and a small cup for my like. Had a bath at night and had to have shower in the morning as heated room made me sweat. Toilet is noisy and I could hear the room above me using it, once. Lovely and kind stuff working there

Johnny Haddocks

He wasn't happy with his large fish so stick me another small one in to go with my large showing he cares about his service.The food was cooked fresh within 10 minutes and was very tasty would defo visit again when out that way an hungry.

The Bear Inn

The Bear inn is a great traditional village pub. There is a lovely long front bar, and a back room with darts and a pool table, there's a couple of large TVs for watching Sport. The pub has an excellent wide range of beers, lager and cider, including three cask conditioned real ales on when I called in. The cask ale was very good. The staff are friendly and there is a nice big car park behind the pub. Highly recommended.Parking: Large car park behind the pub. Note you must enter your registration number on a terminal inside the pub or risk a hundred pound fine from the parking company.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance, the pub is all on one level fine for wheelchair access.

Went for the Tuesday quiz, the pub was full and had a great atmosphere. We have eaten here often and the food is always excellent and the service is always friendly and fast. You just can't beat a well run independent local pub!
