I discovered the Trout lnn by a lucky chance after taking a wrong turning on an unfamiliar road, and I am glad I did. There is a wide range of beers, lager and cider, including four hand-pulled cask conditioned, real ales. The real ale was in excellent condition when I called in. There are very few pubs outside of a town that have a choice as good as this. The pub has just undergone an extensive refurbishment to a very high standard. Gorgeous little place, can't wait for the food to start and looking forward to trying a good few NZ wines. They have a great selection of North Island wines. Just need some Marlborough ones!
