Quite disappointed with the main meal , fillet steak was small and very tough , not good quality at all . Portion size wasn’t great so ordered the cheese plate for desert which was just ok .

According the hotel's welcome letter the restaurant is supposed to be open until 2200.2105 it was not anymore possibel to order food. I was offered to order food from the bar menue instead. Despite three waiters and not many guest nobody paid attention to take my order. Seldom I have experienced such non existing service.

The food was AMAZING me and my boyfriend both loved it all, prices was reasonable especially for what we got! All the staff were amazing, very polite and the service was very quick, we had a 5 course and as soon as we’d finished one they were out with another, drinks were all lovely too definitely recommend ?

We usually dine in super restaurants and this was no exception. Ambiance was great, food was delicious (they even accommodated my strange food intolerance without any problems) and service was above and beyond (thanks Anna). We had an unexpected two guests arrive who were accommodated despite the restaurant being full. Definitely worth a visit if you haven’t visited a MPW before, this one was excellent. Breakfast was also delicious.

Celebrated our Sons 21st here which was absolutely fantastic!! Gorgeous food, excellent service, lovely venue and atmosphere. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back!

Food and drinks all reasonably good but our experience would have been much improved if we had all been given time to finish our starters before main courses were delivered. It was a birthday dinner for an older person who eats more slowly than average however not unreasonably so. The waitresses looked very embarrassed and apologised that the chef had "sped things up" - why?Weird atmosphere, they haven't managed to disguise the fact it's a glorified hotel lobby. Also, if you put mirrors on a wall, clean them occasionally. They look grim! Really not as good as it thinks it is.

Not the best spot ever, especially after being at the Birmingham restaurant. It’s in the Hilton, but it’s in the bar of the hotel, the restaurant and bar is open planned. Not the best experience as you think booking this and paying £190 for meal and drinks it would be in a better atmosphere but no, it’s in full view of the hotel bar… Not great, I would not recommend. The starters were great, good ingredients and big portions.. main course however, for a “steak house” they can’t really cook steak. I asked for rare and parts of my steak were well done. Desert, apple crumble was just some apples in almond sauce with biscuit on top… nothing crumble about it. Waitress asked what was wrong with the dessert as I ate none of it, I said some people just have different preferences of what a “crumble” is and she said she would get it taken off the bill… 20 minutes later, we finally received the bill and she apologised saying it couldn’t be taken off because the manager said it was too busy… about 6 of the tables were taken on NYE… we did wonder if by it was so easy to get a table on the 31st dec this is why. Not impressed at all. I would mark and avoid to be honest, save your money and go to the pipe and glass in south dalton… Michelin 1*, same price and 20xs better!

Easy place to find right in the centre of Hull. Plenty of parking space behind the hotel (have to pay) The hotel itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The restaurant was spacious clean and welcoming. Both myself and my partner had steaks, which were cooked exactly to our liking with plenty of chips and lots side orders available. That desserts were scrummy, and we tested a few of the cocktails, mocktails and would recommend them. Whilst the restaurant was not busy at the time of our visiting, the staff made up to adding to the ambience of the occasion especially Anna who was attentive and attended to our every need. All in all the places, beautiful, the food was wonderful and the service outstanding. Will definitely be returning.
The apatizers were quite good! The french onion soup had great flavour. However, the main was quite dissapointing. The steak was not good quality. It was cooked medium rare and yet it was very tough. The shrimp on the steak tasted off and could not have been fresh. The entire thing was swimming in butter and not edible. I ordered a side of spinach to balance the protein with some vegetables and to my surprise that was also swimming in butter which was unfortunate. The chips that the meal came with were also very odd in texture. Perhaps cooked from frozen?I paid for my meal, however, I was dissapointed that I wasnt offered an alternative or some sort of discount given that I could not eat more than a few bites of the meal and mentioned the same thing noted here to my server.I am hoping it was just a bad day for the chef but if that's the regular quality that's put out then I'm sorry but it is very over priced comparatively with other restaurants. It was not a meal worthy of about £80.

Ordered deserts and again waited a long time one of the diners had to leave. The staff were very apologetic. Probably wouldn’t go back as really expected better

Afternoon tea.... food great, staff and setting were good.... but when you have to offer people blankets because it's too cold inside to be comfortable... it detracts from all the positivity elsewhere. It must be sorted or won't be returning.

Well I can say is extremely disappointed,,bar area not too bad for pre dinner drinks,but then we're we taken to our table..!!! Absolutely freezing,no heating,, blankets were offered which we quickly accepted,, and then the food.... well shocking in a word , again cold and over cooked ,, over priced very very disappointing!!

Restaurant area was chilly and as night progressed it became so cold we had to request blankets! We was told the air con was playing up? Starters were "ok" mains were average, deserts were the highlight of the menu. The Restaurant was just so cold, we sat with coats on and blankets ! One colleague found 'paper' within the desert and after asking what was it we was advised it was unfortunately from the ice cream ?
