This is a great proper traditional English pub. Serving a good selection of hand pulled cask conditioned traditional real ale. It's also has a variety of themed nights including games night on a Monday for adventure gaming Dungeons and Dragons etc, and very welcoming to new people wanting to try it. Other events are advertised on the windows and live music at the weekend. At the top of Spring Bank it's handy if you've just been in town. A great pub worth checking out.
Visited a couple months ago to see my uncle's band, was a great night! Cocktail selection is superb, pool table in good condition, there's a wall sized chalk board for people to sign and apparently they'll also set up guitar hero if you request it! I hope you do a contest night some time, I'd come in a heartbeat to play some games and take some names!

It's a brilliant bar great atmosphere and people. Both the staff (who I have met) and customers are very welcoming and pleasant :DPlenty of drink options to choose from, it's well kept and clean. Drinks aren't overly priced and are affordable.They also have quiz and gaming nights. They also have a pool table, TV's and a good selection of rock music, will 100% go back again :)
