I asked for an extra hot Latte.I was refused this due to health and safety issues.Yet the lady was happy to give me a cup of hot water at an extra charge of a pound.Very disappointed in the attitude displayed. Will not visit again.Which is very sad as the cafe is in a lovely area and could be a great place to sit and have a welcome break.

Cold coffee and when we asked to have it warmed up were told it was the legal temperature as hot drinks were a health and safety risk. However we were then told if we wanted it hot to order a water based drink.Surely hot liquid is the same risk be it water or milk. The table next to us had also complained and been told the same. Will not be visiting again which is a shame as the location is good when walking.

I have been coming here for over 7 years, and while at the beginning it was lovely, they made you feel welcome (and dogs) slowly things started change I won't go into the other changes as I'm more upset of the experience this morning. They claim to be dog friendly, I think they are more dog tolerant. I was sat outside with my 3 dogs as I believe it's abit off putting for some people to see large dogs inside (I understand this) I also have a very small, fragile elderly dog who has recently been unwell, he loves going to the cafe for a sausage but he was freezing. I wrapped him in my jacket and sat him on my knee, a woman came out and told me to put him on the floor, after we had been sat for 10mins waiting for them to open. I explained he was freezing and she quite clearly didn't give a toss. I left and will not be returning. Where is the compassion and community spirit? All about the money now (which they lost).

Myself and my friend went in to the cafe after a lovely time in east park with our children. Our children have additional needs, sensory issues and a few other things so will not eat anything the cafe offers. Due to this myself and my friend ordered some drinks, our children had there safe foods. One of the workers came over and told us we are not supposed to bring outside food in ( which I can understand), however what I can not understand is why this worker felt the need to point and stare at us and gossip about us with other members of staff. There was nobody else at the surrounding tables so we know this was aimed at us. It is incredibly unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable and overwhelmed. We were just trying to have a nice day with our children who already have enough difficulties without the need of somebody thinking there better than others

I visited the cafe with my wife and two young children. The service provided by John (Deputy Manager) and their staff was extremely cold verging on being quite rude. We had ordered an adults breakfast to share between our two and five year old children. When the food arrived and we asked for a second plate, we were told that they couldn't do that. Apparently they're trying to put a stop to food sharing on site. They also don't provide tap water with any order. We made a £16 in total (two hot drinks and breakfast for the kids), so felt we weren't under ordering. I believe given the cost of living crisis and lots of families struggling, I think it's appalling that a local authority cafe is policing people sharing food. Obviously this is a strategy to maximise there profits, but my view is that this type of approach will push customers away. I certainly won't be returning.
Nice service. Reasonable
