Always great times and service, there is a really good vibe here and the food is fantastic pub grub with the modern twist, I have even seen some older people enjoying the modern sharer dishes, digging in and smiling with every bite Clive. Pictures to follow.

Booked a table for 6.15pm.On arrival at 6..10 pm was met by staff who didn't know about booking. Was shown to an empty table and nobody else eating anywhere, was then asked to hurry up with ordering as the kitchen was closing at 7pm due to a function upstairs.Found that to be a bit off-putting for our party of 6 people .However saying that the food was very enjoyable and hot.

We've love this pub, great atmosphere and staff... But the food ? It's slowly been going downhill for a long (long) time. I've kept quiet, no reviews, as this is our local, but this today was just wrong on so many levels.A hotdog, a burger, and some onion rings.. Burnt sausage, the burger had so much carbon you could use it to make a diamond, and the onion rings!!??? They had a trace of onion, but because they were so overcooked, you couldn't taste the onion; even the onion content from a BK onion ring is higher. The irony is I had to complain, in person, when I ordered a burger last year. Mainly because it was uncooked in the middle. It wasn't "rare", but uncooked! So, as you can tell, I'm not happy with the food. I'm not holding out for a vast improvement as this has been getting worse for the past 4 years ?♂️Anywho, if you read this far, you deserve a pat on the back.
The Duke of Cumberland is a lovely big old mock tudor pub. There is a wide range of beers, lagers, and cider, including three cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition on our visit. There is plenty of choice on the food menu and daily specials during the week. There is a bar with a dartboard and a pool table. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's a nice pub with a large car park.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options on the food menu.Dietary restrictions: Is the staff always ask if you have any allergies or special requirements.Parking: The pub has a very large free customer car park.Kid-friendliness: The pub is child friendly and there is a baby changing room.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a flat wheelchair access from the car park.

Our visit to the Duke of Cumberland was a memorable one. We stopped in for a few drinks and some food, and we were pleasantly surprised. The mac & cheese was a standout, well presented and cooked to perfection. The beer was just what we needed, incredibly refreshing. The pub itself had a fantastic blend of old-world charm and modern elements, creating an inviting atmosphere. Plus, they offered pool and darts, adding to the entertainment. It was an all-around great experience!

What an amazing little pub with outstanding food electric atmosphere and very welcoming. The staff here could not do enough for us, me and my wife came here for our 1 year anniversary. I pre booked a table and what a good job it was full lively busy but in all the right ways and it was booked just off chance. The lady that owns the pub made her job to make sure we were satisfied and had everything we need, upon discovering the place we were staying had no shower she offered us her own personal shower and bath in the morning. This lady didn’t know us from the next person and was so kind and caring. We are already booking it into our trip for next year to make a tradition of it we felt that welcome and the food was that good.Thank you ever so much Josh & Bonnie
