Low Street Pizza
1 Low St, North FerribySometimes the best meals are the ones you find by accident, down a narrow, winding road that makes you wonder if you’ve taken a wrong turn or made a very right one.
This place is about the size of a shoebox, clearly beloved, clearly slammed — the kind of busy that tells you locals know something you don’t. Despite the chaos, my burger landed in under five minutes. No drama. No waiting. Just competence.
I ordered a pulled pork burger on a toasted brioche bun, fully expecting exactly that. What I got was better. Hidden beneath the pork was a proper beef patty — an unexpected but inspired move. Structural integrity matters in a burger, and the beef gave this one backbone, stopping the pulled pork from bursting out the sides and turning what could’ve been a messy indulgence into something beautifully composed.
Then there was the coleslaw — crisp, fresh, and absolutely essential. It cut through the richness, lifted the whole thing, and elevated the burger into rare territory. The brioche was toasted just right, the pork was rich and indulgent, the beef did its quiet, noble work, and the slaw tied it all together.
This wasn’t flashy. It wasn’t trying to be clever. It was just honest food, done properly, by people who clearly know what they’re doing.
Honestly, one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The photos don't do it any justice

Sandpiper
Grange Cl, Melton, North FerribyCame here on the off chance with the family and wasn’t disappointed, was served on the bar by Amelia who was a delight to talk to, there was a slight delay on the food but that was understandable given how busy they were. It’s really nice to see the sandpiper getting busy again would definitely recommend.

Post Office Stores
Sluice Rd, South Ferriby, Barton-upon-HumberRecently used the Post Box Cafe to provide a buffet for my Mums wake. The presentation and quality was great. A lovely selection of assorted sandwiches cut into perfect triangles. Sausage rolls and crisps. A lovely light Victoria sand which cake and a scrumptious chocolate cake. With a tray of assorted fresh fruit. Everyone passed comments on how lovely and tasty everything was. I was very pleased with everything and would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a buffet for an occasion. Although I understand they can only cater for 20 people. But I honestly can say mine provided for 20+. Thank you Kate Bev and everyone concerned
