A nice little country pub to have a drink and Rest your legs. I've not tried the food but by the looks of it the food looks nice too. It's nice that you have the beer garden out the front to hear the peace and quiet of Crowhurst village.

It was lovely, the food excellent. Have not been there for a while, as visiting family. Really good. Definitely will be returning.

We were on a long cross country dog walk and we come upon this pub, so decided a beer and food were in order. Greeted politely by all the staff and with our 2 dogs we found a seat inside. We had garlic bread as a starters which is homemade and some of the best tasting fresh GB with cheese we have had in a long time. We both chose burgers but different ones myself, pork and chorizo my partner the beef burger. Both were plenty portion and fresh burgers not super market, well presented with what I believe were home cooked chips. I’m not a chip person but these were some of the best chips I’ve tasted in a long while. All the food was of top quality and great presentation. If your in this neck of the woods deffo stop in

We were looking for a good place for a Sunday Roast and the reviews led us here. We didn't want the 'amazing value for money' 'more than you could eat' type of pub so the menu and reviews encouraged us to try The Plough. The car park is fairly small but we were early so that was fine. As we'd booked we were shown straight to our table when we arrived. The Sunday menu selection isn't huge but covered everything we were looking for. As soon as we tasted the different main course we'd chosen we knew this was an excellent choice. The portions were a good size and it was all really well cooked and presented. The dessert was equally good and, like the main course, had a great homemade feel to it and tasted delicious. The service throughout was excellent and even before we left we knew we would be looking to come back in the future.

Stopped off here for food and booze. Decent beers, the food was great with a friendly service team. Everything you would hope for from a country pub. Muscles were well worth trying... if they are in season when you're there. Don't often give 5 stars but I think it's deserved ?

Lovely location and nice friendly staff. Poor portion for money than usual, with old potatoes.

Excellent chef-produced lunchtime meal washed down with a couple of pints of Long Man in a well-presented country pub: what's not to like?

Absolutely outstanding, been here a few times now for a Sunday roast and honestly it’s the best roast I’ve ever had, good quality produce, atmosphere is great, service is brilliant, beautiful pub, honestly can’t recommend enough!

Hadn’t been for several years and was hugely impressed with how the current owners have updated the pub. I had the beer battered cod, my wife had the bean and sweetcorn burger. I thought mine was possibly the best, fish and chips I have ever had! The samphire included with the peas was inspired. My wife thought that her meal was delicious as well. Lovely sunny garden, and great service drinks were also very enjoyable (cider, and long man beer). Hope to return again soon. Well done The Plough.

Had a nice time in there chatting to some locals and bar staff...the Spanish lager on draught was excellent.

What a great find . Received a really warm welcome when we arrived from staff and the locals . Longman real ale was well kept and a good selection of gins (alcoholic and 0% as I found out))). The food was of an excellent standard especially the mussels and bread. A huge bowl of large perfect mussels.. no empty small or closed shells in a large bowl of the best broth we've had. Steak was great . Starters were very good especially the squid .. not rings of squid from bookers but proper tentacles.. lovely if that's your sort of thing. I tip my hat to your chef.. keep hold of him as he is a real asset.Road side pub with lovely views and gardenLast mention goes back to the staff again.. really makes a difference when your met with a big smile and a "can do attitude" that is so lacking in so many pubs. Well done ? ✔️ ?
