We were on a long cross country dog walk and we come upon this pub, so decided a beer and food were in order. Greeted politely by all the staff and with our 2 dogs we found a seat inside. We had garlic bread as a starters which is homemade and some of the best tasting fresh GB with cheese we have had in a long time. We were looking for a good place for a Sunday Roast and the reviews led us here. We didn't want the 'amazing value for money' 'more than you could eat' type of pub so the menu and reviews encouraged us to try The Plough. The car park is fairly small but we were early so that was fine. As we'd booked we were shown straight to our table when we arrived. Stopped off here for food and booze. Decent beers, the food was great with a friendly service team. Everything you would hope for from a country pub. Muscles were well worth trying... if they are in season when you're there. Don't often give 5 stars but I think it's deserved ?
