The food has no flavour what so ever and everything was dry! The main host stephano I think his name is? Was very touchy feely with all the women including his youg female waitress! Was extremely disturbing and off putting. I heard he hires young girls and acts very weird around them. So please don’t ever work there. Disgusting.Update for your reply, you think it’s okay to put your hands/arms around peoples waist etc…you know exactly what I mean. You touch female staff constantly & touch customers!

Went for our wedding anniversary on a Wednesday, had booked for 7.30pm, and was really looking forward to it as we had been about 3 times before, and enjoyed it there. Unfortunately this time was very disappointed. We were the only people in the restaurant, and although the waitress was friendly, there was no atmosphere at all. When our food came, although mine was OK, my wife had mussels to start, which were very overdone and dry. Then the mains came, and again mine was OK, but my wife had the lamb shank, which came up overdone, dry and on top of some mash, with no veg whatsoever. It reminded us of the microwave ones from the supermarket, which it probably was as it came up too quick to be fresh. Then at about 8.40pm, the waitress said sorry, but they were closing at 9pm, presumably as no other bookings were imminent. We quickly finished our wine, and left. I now wish they had rung us and said they were closing, and cancelled our booking, and we could have gone elsewhere. Very disappointing for us on our anniversary, sorry, but will not return here again.

Had dinner here to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. Had not been before. Tasty classic food. Excellent service - huge thank you to the waitress on 4 July evening. Great intimate atmosphere. We will return

Disappointed in food as the last time we visited our meal, service, was excellent. Can't say the same this time unfortunately.

Lovely family owned restaurant fairly new to the town. Menu not extensive and possibly could do with a couple more main dish choices. Meals very well cooked and delicious.Very friendly and welcoming service. Offers a discount card. Not large premises but that added to our evening as we were not shouting to be heard. Very reasonably priced.Would definitely recommend.Unfortunately since the above post things have changed.Lots of things on menu not available and food definitely not as good. Think staffing issues are a problem. Definitely disappointed with our visit.I hope they can turn things back around.

Golden wedding lunch so restaurant was fully booked. Pre ordered food, which meant staff knew who was having what dish. Parma ham and melon starter was nice, very well presented but disappointed in my main, chicken was slightly dry but to be fair I had asked for no sauce on this dish, as I don’t like cream. Overall, friendly but I’m not sure if I would go back, next time I’m in the area.

Service from host was excellent and overall experience v good. But unfortunately the food in general was only ok. Geeat presentation but lack of taste for a relatively expensive family meal... was really looking forward to it, reviews generally v good but unfortunately the food wasnt anything but ok.....

When we arrived they had to move a couple who were eating their dinner to another table as they had the incorrect number of seats laid out. Then when we ordered garlic bread as a side the waitor was quite firm and said "No, not as a side, I recommend you have it as a starter or not at all..." (Ok you must know me better than I know myself!) They lost track of which calzone had/didn't have olives so it was russian roulette for the poor soul who didn't like olives. The pizzas looked like Dr Oetker frozen pizzas which had been oven cooked for 25 minutes, most people left most of theirs as they were dry as a board with 2 inches of crust and little in the way of toppings too. I'm told the ravioli was nice but it was a very small bowl. The Carbonara was not so nice. The waitor didn't seem to know what he was serving and asked "who has ordered cake" when dishing out the tiramisu. The main waitor was quite touchy feely with some of the guests which was off-putting. He also tried to guilt one of the guests into drinking alcohol as they weren't driving. But to their credit we were given a couple of bottles of wine at the end (based on other reviews I think this is standard procedure when customers leave a lot of food). To pre-empt your response:Don't tell me I could have spoken to you and you would have resolved things. There was no point in us complaining as there is nothing you could have done to rectify any of it, god forbid you bring out another pizza. The food was consistently not up to scratch and sometimes it's better to just cut your losses and vow to never return, than to cause a fuss at a celebration meal.Don't try to discourage bad reviews as it's useful for potential customers to read these reviews to get a full view of other customers' experiences, good or bad. If bad experiences weren't reported it would give a false account of experiences at the restaurant. I don't usually write reviews but I felt it was my duty to report these issues to others so that they can avoid the same fate, or at least know the risks if they decide to proceed.Don't tell me that I'm a keyboard warrior insulting you for no reason. I'm not insulting you, I'm just recommending you either improve your pizzas, or don't serve them at all. Perhaps ask Monellis/Picasso Express/Rustico for some advice as they seem to have it nailed.

The La Famiglia website says they're open on Sundays. We booked a table by phone six weeks in advance (speaking to someone in person) for 5:00 on Sunday 12th March 2023, prior to a performance at the DWP. We turned up to find the restaurant shut and dark. We waited for ten minutes. We had received no notification that they wouldn't be open and there was no sign in the window saying there'd been an emergency. Really disappointing. Perhaps they have gone under? One of us checked their phone, which said that La Famiglia was 'open now'!

It was my first experience at this restaurant and most certainly will not be going back. The food was warm and very underwhelming . After complaining the staff didn’t seem to care.

Beautiful place, amazing food and welcoming with my 18 month old cockapoo too. Service was incredible and will definitely be back

This is an unber eats review - made an order and never delivered, call the restaurant first time they were nice, second time (20 mins later) they seemed nice but then hung up on me, after that just didn't answer the phone. Cancelled order and thanks to Uber eats got a refund.Message to restaurant - don't do deliveries is you can't do deliveries...

Great venue and service unfortunately let down bybthe food. That said, when made aware nothing was to much trouble and they insisted we took a bottle of wine away with us by way of apology

It's good that there are one or two vegan items on the menu (although other local venues have far more). With so many people switching to plant-based, for the environment, health and the animals improving the plant-based options would be an astute and compassionate move. We'd love to be regulars here because the decor looks fantastic and we love Italian food but are really put off by the inclusion of Calves liver on the menu which is a particularly cruel and outdated dish.
