Was wondering around Brighton in search of craft beer and found this pub and wasn’t disappointed. Great selection and friendly staff too

Great bar with friendly staff always a smile serving good beer. The upstairs music venue is brilliant with an excellent pa system and sound man. A perfect place to see up and coming bands.

A bit rough and ready but conveniently near railway station. Visit six Brighton pubs in three day holiday, this was the only one I went to more than once. Reason being the cider - Ascension Mothership (6%) which was the best I had in Brighton

Probably the best venue in brighton for sound quality. You'll always have a good view cos its not a huge venue. Drinks are reasonably priced too none of this 4 quid for a coke some places charge. Rajkot nice staff too and plenty of seats outside plus the cool mural wall is pretty iconic

The Albert as it's known to locals is a fantasticly atmospheric Brighton landmark. Great selection of beers at a reasonable price for the centre of the city. Friendly efficient bar staff. Also one of the best small music venues in Brighton. Keep on doing it guys. We love you!

Small original Victorian rooms with a central all around bar. Very good real ale and craft beer range. Back courtyard and on street seating out front. Many guest beers often including Burning Sky brewery

If you like drinking, shouting, listening to music and living in a semi-relevant city then this is the pub for you! Ps. Actually, in all honesty, it's a nice pub and probably one of the top ones in Brighton.

Great pub, lovely atmosphere. Good location for pre night out drinks. Staff are friendly as well, always a bonus.

The Prince Albert is my first choice when it comes to pubs in Brighton. It's very central - right by the station - and yet super reasonably priced. The atmosphere inside is cosy and comfortably busy, with three different seating areas plus benches out the back and the front. The decor is fun to look at on every wall and the staff are friendly and helpful. I haven't been to a gig in the upstairs section yet but that is another thing they offer at this venue. Highly recommend for a student night out, especially as the Green Door Store is directly across the road!

Wonderful pub. Small venue for gigs. Love those small stages, more atmosphere and more celebration for the band. Drinks are ok. Gin could be a bit stronger ?

I have just been in to the Albert, one of my favourite pubs in brighton and a venue my band and bands from my record label play at regularly. Tonight i walked into the bar and asked for a pint, the bar man gave me a beer with a 2 inch head on it. I asked if he could fill the pint and he said it was a full pint and i take take it or leave it then turned his back on me. Whist the barmaid next to him poured a pint to the top of the glass. I will still use the albert, but will never get a pint of this barman again, i suggest if you dont want substandard service you should do the same.

Great vibes. I called during the day and they said they’d no kitchen but you’re welcome to bring in any food you like. I didn’t sit then but did come back for a lovely beer. Nice mix of vibes, music and beers. Just generally welcoming. Highly recommended for the alt crowd or even alt curious ?
