The Plough certainly has a good chef. Our guests both had a steak and ale pie. They raved about it. Excellent use of pastry, excellent contents. My wife had scampi and chips. There’s not much to say about it. It’s either badly made or well prepared. Hers was fine. I had pork belly. Delicious, with good crackling, good vegetable and mash, and nice gravy. My only observation is that the portions of the pie and the pork belly were overgenerous. My wife and I didn’t have a desert....read full review
Lovely setting and reasonable prices meals actually served on plates . Waiting staff polite and non intrusive. -1 for The Beef burginion (spelling) should have just chucked a dumpling called it Beef Stew and charged a couple quid less

Took family here for a birthday Sunday lunch. Staff were welcoming and friendly with prompt service. Food was excellent and all diners received at the same time. Good variety of food and reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.
