I have been eating at this beautiful pub on and off for the last 20 years. Only once have a sent a dish back, today being that time. I must just echo a previous reviewers comments about the servers reaction. I ordered rib of beef, on mashed potatoes with charred broccoli. The mash was an incredibly limited portion, the meat was too browned to the point of being burned, the broccoli was black and crisp - not charred. Have dined here a couple of times and the food has always been top tier, spent the night in the Knots of May room and can honestly say that my wife and I felt soo cosy after a 3- course Christmas meal and drinks.Will be staying again next December!
