I was staying at the seemingly expensive East Sussex National along the road. Myself and wife decided to book for a Sunday lunch: we both had the roast lamb which came with all the trimmings. It was excellent! Dessert was by way of sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel & honeycomb ice-cream - which was equally as lovely. When you come in it seems to have a real country/village pub atmosphere and the bar staff were amazingly friendly and attentive.Great food, great selection of ales/beers and ciders, great staff.
A traditional pub serving their own beer, and home made food in good portions at a fair price. Friendly welcoming staff. Dogs are welcome. Just a shame we don't live closer
