Gosh, we had such a great time! My friends and I went to their very first 'Wine Tasting and Dinner'. We had such a good time. The best thing about The Garden Cafe on North Road is the staff, and not just one or two of the staff: All the staff were so very attentive; incredibly so. The food was out of this world good. To be honest, we were drunk! Wine tasting does that to you. You know you had a good time when there are flames on the table, spilt drinks, and happy customers. :) We are definitely going there again!

Nice food but expensive and surly staff. Had a £10 sandwich and £5.95 piece of cake, they were nice but the staff didn’t smile or were not friendly at all as per other reviews. No one came to clear anyone’s table, it all just piles up. Happy staff would make a real difference.

I was really disappointed in the food, especially for the extortionate prices that they charged. I was particularly put off by the very unfriendly and miserable staff (of course unless they were their friends) as I witnessed a complete change of demeanour, when one of the staff knew a girl and gave her a free drink. In addition to this, the constant “patrolling” the tables to the point you felt you had to inhale your food to free up a table! Not a place I would recommend or visit again!

Fantastic coffee, great food, superb ambience but miserable staff. To the manager: have a word your customers deserve a warmer welcome

Lovely food other than the coleslaw as just salad mixed with mayo rather large hard stalks .

Lovely, quirky and different place to go for coffee, snacks, cakes etc. Had the smashed avocado and poached eggs - lovely tasting and looked good. Great coffee and also followed up with tiramisu which was delicious (the cake selection looked amazing) Really impressed overall and would definitely return when next visiting Brighton

This is a quirky little cafe and as plant lovers we loved the decor and look of the place! It was really busy but we were able to sit in the overflow seating to the guest house next door. Staff are not particularly friendly or welcoming. The toilet was quite grim- it’s so tiny, but was not very clean and was run down/scruffy. There were also flies milling around in there. Have to say the food was really nice- we had quiche, salad and a salmon sandwich, followed by basque cheesecake and tiramasu with coffee which were all delicious. Bizarrely they said they didn’t have mayonnaise (but had ketchup). We also got take away carrot cake and Biscoff cream cake to takeaway- they were really good.

Quick visit but really loved the cakes on offer and the freshly squeezed orange juice. It was really nice to sit in the garden surrounded by cool plants - I would recommend!

Beautiful setting for a vegetarian breakfast. Snart helpful staff whom were polite and efficient. Beatiful freshly cooked food, the organic poached eggs were the best ive ever had. There is a variety of home made quiches and cakes on display which all looked delicious.

Good food, good service, plenty of cake choices and a nice theme throughout! Will be back next time we’re in Brighton! And the coffee was good too!

Always very busy and staff are overwhelmed,so tables left dirty. The ceiling has marks on which were there at least 2 years ago and still nothing has been done to it...makes the place feel filthy!

We stayed in he guest house owned by the same family and had breakfast here two days. Excellent coffee, great breakfast and great cake. We had coffee and walnut cake which came with a little blackberry jam in it which was superb. Beautiful setting with all the flowers.

A regular favourite fir breakfast or lunch. The prettiest dish you’ll see!! The setting is wonderful like you are sat in an exquisite plant shop. The courtyard area is my favourite. Highly recommend.
