I have been past this pub a few times and always fancied trying it. Today I did and it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing. I had blue cheese on chips and on garlic bread. Absolutely incredible. The pub had some lovely quirky areas, especially downstairs. We'll be back.
A great little pub. Unfortunately, I went on a quiet rainy weekday so can't really comment on atmosphere, but from what I saw, I would guess it has a great atmosphere.I had chilli and cheese on home made chips, it was lovely.

We hired the pub for my sisters wake. Perfect location - close to Woodvale. Free parking across at the garden centre. Lovely atmosphere, much more cosy and intimate than a lot of venues in the area. Food was fantastic and a lot of it, service was superb. Catered for vegetarian guests and easy access for wheelchair users. I highly recommend the Fox on the Downs for functions following a funeral. Well done . Mike
