Thank god we were diverted.... Haven't been to the Juggs for more than a drink in recent years but as we were diverted that way home and we were starving after a busy day out we thought let's give it a try if we can get a table, we got the last and only walk in table. A great pint of Harvey's and a far more interesting menu than expected (turns out some changes regards freedom to choose what they offer) opted for Whole seabass but was given offer to fillet too, served with a delicious classic champagne or wine sauce, tenderstream Broccoli and a new potato crush, and a stonkingly good Steak and Guiness proper pie with a pan fried bubble n squeak cake and side of vegetables. All served by a jolly terrific team of enthusiastic people. We will be booking for Sunday lunch very soon, I think their reservations line has been red hot unsurprisingly considering both mains were £20 or less. The Juggs is in top form and we are delighted to live close enough and affordable enough to make it a regular visit. Faultless

Great old pub! Call in occasionally on a Friday after work on the way home. Nice open fires this time of the year. Large car park, outdoor areas and food always looks good although I've never tried it myself.

Nice place to have lunch and a cold beer after walking the dog on the south

Improvement is coming. I regularly go to this pub and in the last year it hasn’t been that good. But this time it was excellent. The food was great, hot and tasty. The atmosphere was superb as ever and the service was friendly and quick. Would now definitely go here after a country

We popped in here with our two miniature dachshunds and were delighted to find a really lovely, friendly pub. The bar stuff couldn’t have been more welcoming, the food was great and we were just made to feel at home from the start. Even the locals were nice as they gave up their table by the fire for the dogs. Now that is going beyond the call of duty. It’s a nice quiet country pub, set just outside of Lewes town centre. We visited in winter but it looks as though there’s a really nice outside area for the summer time. My wife had a leek and ham hock pie and I had the sausage and mash, both of which were delicious. We are only visiting the area for a long weekend but we may very well head back again as we enjoyed it so much.

An excellent lunch on Saturday. (Very) simple menu: pies and burgers mainly so that's what we ordered and all delicious. Good Harveys beer too. Service very good despite the pub being very busy. Dogs enjoyed it too! Will definitely be back.
