Cafes in Lewes

“I went there with my family so there was a group of 6 of us, the owner happily accommodated us and even offered to move the tables around and could not have been more helpful. We had a range of sandwiches, and I personally had the peppered mackerel salad which was incredible. We are not local, but shall certainly be returning and are even considering making a special journey to go back tomorrow as we are holidaying near by.We cannot recommend this cute little cafe enough, and they will even accommodate furry family members if needed with free dog biscuits on hand. They much deserve the 5 stars that we have given them.”

“What a beautiful and romantic spot in the heart of Lewes. Lewes Bill’s was the very first of many Bill’s restaurants opened in 2001. A few years later the Brighton branch followed and from there in 2010 Reading, Covent Garden, Cambridge and many more.I promised to my wife a Bill’s breakfast in Lewes and we went there from London. We had a typical British weather all day long. It didn’t stop raining even for a minute. We didn’t book a table but Charlotte, the manager, gave us a table always with a beautiful smile and the best aim to help.I ordered the super famous Bill’s breakfast (brunch option as we arrived after 11:30) and my wife ordered the spectacular Bill’s pancakes with syrup. Just simple food but beautifully prepared with very fresh ingredients. We also had the pleasure of being served by Daniel, another manager, also with the most friendly and helpful attitude you could expect. All the staff who came to our table to bring food, double check our meals and clear the table looked really happy, friendly and attentive. It was a fantastic time remembering all days in Lewes more than 15 years ago and Bill’s still having the same soul. Many thanks for your amazing service and looking forward to visit you again in the future.”

“Lovely service and atmosphere for a laid back Sunday afternoon brunch. Upon request they provided cut avocado on plain toast for my fussy toddler even though there was no such dish on the menu.”

“OK if you like reggae music while you eat, a tad expensive but food was good, I had the farmers breakfast which was spot on, vinegar kept in the fridge?? Can't work that out!”

“We didn't have food this time, only coffee, but the new Winter blend is very warming. It's a great branch of Nero and a favourite with our dogs.”
