Lovely lunch, good quality food, excellent service and fairly priced.

very good food , presentation mixed, prices not cheap but enjoyable evening. Quality was there but no bread with prawn cocktail! Really ? And no spoon either , tut tut .Yes they found some good bread on appeal but extra charge £3. Sticky toffee pud was tasty but not hot and the melting ice cream tells us that kitchens or waiters not best organised. A busy evening for them , perhaps best to choose a quieter evening

What can I say. The Oak is everything you want from a country pub. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. We went there as they clearly marked VE and GF food on their menus, something a lot of other pubs need to start to do.Easily the best pub food we've had in the area for a while. Beer battered fish and chips, super crispy batter, proper pub chips, seafood linguine hoovered up almost instantly, chicken tikka masala and the vegan burger all excellent. Empty plates all round. We sat in the garden but inside looked really nice as well. We will be back.

Went for Sunday lunch, it was delicious, one of the best if not the best Sunday lunches we have had out, everything was cooked to perfection, staff were friendly and attentive and well priced, can't wait to return

The food was just about acceptable but nothing fancy. Poor choices on menu, but the service was good.

Great food and good value! We visit every time we are in Rye! We will be booking again!

Not the best roast beef, poor quality of beef, nothing seemed or tasted homemade, not the gravy or horseradish.

Would have given straight fives, but they've decided to stop selling my favourite beer (Harvey's Sussex). From now on we'll be in there a lot less frequently
