What can I say. The Oak is everything you want from a country pub. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. We went there as they clearly marked VE and GF food on their menus, something a lot of other pubs need to start to do.Easily the best pub food we've had in the area for a while. Beer battered fish and chips, super crispy batter, proper pub chips, seafood linguine hoovered up almost instantly, chicken tikka masala and the vegan burger all excellent....read full review

Went for Sunday lunch, it was delicious, one of the best if not the best Sunday lunches we have had out, everything was cooked to perfection, staff were friendly and attentive and well priced, can't wait to return

Excellent beef and red wine pie, one of the best pies I've had. The lady behind the bar was friendly and provided great customer service seeing as she was extremely busy on her own.
