Our first stay but definitely not our last. The location was perfect for us visiting friends and family in the area, something we do a couple of times a year since moving away. Originally booked as we were attending a family big birthday meal in The Oak and this meant we could enjoy an alcoholic beverage or two! Rooms are spotless and well equipped for a short stay. This was our third stay at the B&B (3 families with kids and dogs) and although management had changed the experience was just as great as the previous visits. The breakfast was well cooked and plentiful and our host Ed was friendly and very helpful. The Oak offered good food and live music one of the nights we were there. Well situated close to Rye and superb beaches. Highly recommended. P.s. thank you for sending my pyjamas bottoms back to me - very thoughtful and kind! X

I really loved this place, reminded me of being in a motel but so much better. The bed was very comfortable, clean all around and quiet. You'll find a little fridge, kettle, tea and coffee etc.The host Ed was very accomodating and friendly. You can tell he put so much effort and time into the place.Would definitely recommend. We stayed for a night but we will come back to stay again.It is handy to have a car as the place is a little bit outside of Rye. By car it is like 5 minutes...read full review
