Best value for money in Mount Hagen. 150 kina for 1 room with 2 double beds! The place is quiet, away from the city. Michael, the owner, will help you as much as possible. It offers free pickups and dropoffs from the airport and to Mount Hagen (so for the festival too). The people in the surrounding village are very warm. There are tea plantations, you can walk there. At the guesthouse, you can cook food.Water in the showers.Fridge in the room.No wifi and average network.cockroaches in the room! But we get used to it.

A hidden gem, In the Historic village of Robertbridge East Sussex. My other half & me went in for a couple of drinks on a Sunday afternoon in May 2023. Tony & Rose are very welcoming & friendly in this traditional pub. His real ales are of good quality, the conversation & banter is always Good fun.! We are sure to return soon.. ??????

Excellent welcome. Attire looked a bit dated, but the atmosphere and food were great. Had Sunday roast which was large and nice. They brought out a plate of beef offcuts for the dog, which he ate, then came a plate of pork offcuts he took on doggy bag home. Couldn't rate rooms as didn't stay.

Well, what a suprise this was.Had been meaning to come here for a while. Finally got round to it today, why did we leave it so long?. Wonderful food & service at a riduculousy low price. £11-50p for sunday roast!! Amazing quality food, lots of it. The roast beef was excellent. Cannot remember the last time we had a roast of this quality. Roll on next sunday.
Excellent Sunday lunch, home cooked and desserts .

I visited this hotel recently to attend an event, the songs of Simon and Garfunkel. The hotel is great and full of history and cannot wait to return. Although I did not take lunch or dinner there, other customers I spoke to enjoyed the food and this has prompted me to return again very soon to take lunch or dinner. Maybe, both..!

Arrived to find no electricity, however this did not deter. Excellent hospitality and lovely food. Thank you for a lovely evening

We had often been to the Ostrich for Sunday lunch because it is dog friendly, good value, has a lovely garden and we are always made so welcome by Tony and his team. But for a special birthday we decided to have a mid week evening meal and stay overnight. They said we could check in anytime after 12 and check out whenever we wanted to. Nobody at Travelodge ever said that to me. Dinner and company was very good. We retired to a large double room with comfy beds, nice views, piles of books and excellent wifi. In the morning we had a large full English, freshly cooked and a warm send off.
