A luxurious small hotel at an excellent price. It is a beautiful old building in the heart of historic Rye. I would definately stay there again.

Great location, fantastic room and lovely people.Could not recommend stayin at The Hope Anchor enough, it is great.Even what could be seen as an inconvenience is the parking, you will need to drop bags and park about 10 minutes walk away (or bring your car up after 6:00) was great walking through the gorgeous town to get back to the hotel. And the best breakfast we have had in the UK!

Chris runs a lovely pub (we’ve not stayed as hotel guests but I imagine it’d be just as awesome.)Malcom is a total legend - funny, sharp, polite and runs a tight ship behind the bar (he also looks like Harry Grout from Porridge but isn’t menacing at all.)The view over the harbour is beautiful. It’s a good walk up to along a cobbled street (not a complaint just a consideration for those who need help with mobility)We visited March ‘22, June ‘22 and over Christmas ‘23. It was such a lovely, snuggly atmosphere. The prices are very fair, especially considering many places in Rye seem to price as though they’re in London! Can’t recommend this place enough! Thank you for helping us make wonderful memories. We hope to see you again soon ❤️❤️ xx

I stopped at the Hope Anchor whilst on business in the area. Very close to the centre of Rye this B&B is ideally located for exploring the townand is also very quiet with almost no traffic noise. Parking directly outside is very limited however I did get lucky and as I was leaving before 9am there was no chance of a parking ticket. My room whilst slightly dated was let down by a really uncomfortable bed, I didn't sleep well at all, hence the 3* rating.Walkability: Ideally located for a walking tour of the older parts of the town.
Wonderful stayIncredible staff.Rooms: The room was lovely. Incredible views.Brilliant amenitiesThe room is beautifully decorated.Food & drinks: The hotel made everything in their power to ensure the food was gluten free. And it was a lovely breakfast.

The best service and comfortable accommodation! We received a friendly welcome, room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was tremendous. There is a bar which is really quaint and some amazing views over Rye.
